Butter Chicken

Prep time: Under 10 minutes

Ingredients:

Meal Genie2  tbsp
Plain yogurt*2 tbsp
salt1 tsp
Boneless chicken1 pound
Unsalted butter2 tbsp
Tomato paste2 tbsp
Heavy cream**¾ cup
Chopped cilantroFor  garnish

*Can substitute with dairy free.

**Can substitute with dairy free cream or coconut cream.

Preparation

Step 1 – Optional

Combine chicken, 1 tbsp MealGenie Original Flavoring with 2 tbsp yogurt  in a small bowl and coat with mixture. Cover and chill 4-6 hours for best results. Or can just mix and cook right away. (Yogurt is optional)

Note: The above step is to marinade chicken that adds extra flavour. If you are in rush, then it is totally fine to skip this step

Step 2

Heat 2 tbsp unsalted butter in a large skillet or medium saucepan over medium heat. Place chicken in a pan when butter is warm and fry chicken for 4-5 minutes.  

Add MealGenie, tomato paste cover and cook for 5-7 min. Add half and half or whole milk for your desired gravy. Stir and chopped cilantro. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked.

Recommended: Steamed rice or any type of bread (for serving)
